We are so glad that the allotment has plenty of space to work in! No one could have predicted that we’d now need space for social distancing, but thankfully we built in different areas for groups to spread out. Which is great when we have so many young volunteers!
There was more wood working to create signage, and we also picked the green tomatoes to make chutney (they’re not going to ripen at this time in the year).
We also spent a lot of time identifying bees (dead ones!), as well as learning about shield bugs (and why they don’t make good pets...).
Finally, there was some discussion about whether our apples are ripe yet...the photo says it all!
