They wanted to make more sock critters today!
These owls - from the link in the last post- are great as they only need one sock plus scrap (or oats or sand) to stuff, and have only one seam and a drawstring to sew for the main body, so they’re relatively quick to make.
The children making these needed support to use the sewing scissors (hand strength) and the hardest bit of sewing by far for both was learning how to stitch on the buttons- but they’re both really proud of their cuddlies now!
Next step... clearing up all the tiny snipped bits of fabric!
