These were actually picked on 1st June- the earliest courgettes we've ever had, by no small margin. It was a bit of a cheat, though- we grew them in the greenhouse at the insistence of one of the mini gardeners. The outdoor plants are a lot smaller and won't be producing for at least another month.
These courgette are a bit tiny but the new ones on the plant are growing further up away from the soil so can be left to get bigger (the soggy compost was looking like rotting some of the blossom ends so we got these courgette off quick!).
