It’s been a busy day at the allotment: We’ve planted 100 mixed spring bulbs under the hedge and around the fruit trees, started scrubbing the mildew off a set of chairs kindly donated by St Peter’s School, Littleover and levelled the new base area for the shed.
In the next fortnight we should have the base for the kitchen/storage shed completed, the base for the toilet shed mainly done (and the loo at the ready!) and the fencing and gate completed.
We also have a range of tasks coming up for the forest school and art group to get their teeth into, from joinery and construction to making and decorating noticeboards, plant and fruit tree labels and creating our planting, cooking and working areas- it’s going to be an exciting year!
